Trapunto Wool

This floss has been specially designed for trapunto.

It is machine washable, shrink resisted, pre-steamed. It has a very low twist so that the fibres will untwist after pulling through the quilt to enable a very soft high loft.

Matilda’s Own have used a special fibre reactive dye to colour the wool whiter than its natural state.

This dye was used as it will not damage the properties of the fibre.

Bleaching would have compromised the fibres and not resulted in the super fine finish achieved.
