A Miracle in Action

John’s existence is a miracle.
So much could have gone wrong on that day - but didn’t.
John could have hit his head on the tank when being removed – but didn’t.
John could have hit his head on the ground – but didn’t.
Too much pressure could have been applied to John’s exposed brain – but wasn’t.
Inexperienced men could have been surrounding John – but they weren’t.
Too much time could have lapsed before receiving medical attention – but didn’t.
Medical facilities could have been substandard – but they weren’t.

Nothing was second best for John on that day.
Every thing was perfect.
God gave ordinary people the ability to do extra ordinary things.
A miracle was in action.

Amazing and wonderful men were given supernatural strength.
Two men pulled John from the tank.
A mighty shield of protection was covering these men as they removed him.
Under constant fire from the enemy
Miraculously no one received further injuries.

Gentle golden hands were able to administer vital first aid to John.
There were no rough uncaring hands.
These golden gentle hands were essential to John’s total recovery.
His constant reassurance to the mate he would not leave.

Suffering himself he continued to care for John until released to the professionals.
The simple heart felt prayer.
Quietly and gently whispered to John while in the helicopter.
A beautiful prayer of reassurance and confirmation of God’s presence.

Our father which art in heaven
Hallowed by thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive our trespassers
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom the power and the glory
Forever and ever
Amen

God gave John an angel on that day.
And allowed him to sleep peacefully.
Unable to hear the yelling, screaming, explosions and gunfire
Unable to see the pain, suffering, blood and destruction
God gave John a beautiful quite place in which to rest.

Two men were given the task to lift John
Both given extra ordinary strength
To remove Johns resting body from the tank
